Masjid Umar, previously known as The Islamic Institute of Learning (IIL), is located on the corner of Harney Ave and Geraldine Ave, just north of I-70 is one of the first mosques in the St Louis area. Established in 1982, IIL caters to the need of a broad multicultural Muslim community in the inner city and the surrounding areas.
